Sometimes she hides behind pronouns
To make herself feel a little more secure.
She knows no one would dare to ask,
Because they are also afraid, just like you.

Sometimes she lays on her bed, staying still
And then images of her dead body fills her head.

The pale and cold skin,
The closed eyes and dried up tears,
The hair scattered about and a position to sleep,
A comfortable bed with a small girl's corpse.

Sometimes, she plays with her arms.
She is against all forms of self-harm,
But her imagination and literature deceives her beliefs.

When she wakes up to look at the mirror,
She feels her tired self is when she is most beautiful.
When she looks so weak and vulnerable is when she is most pretty.
When she is strong and durable,
It is when she is most unappetizing.

She is not by all means abandoned from society,
She is not treated as an outcast,
A tough exterior that can talk back to bullies.
Daring enough to glare at the authorities.

But one simple thing that is not needed in life
Can break her down so easily.

She is the most pathetic one of her kind,
She reads stories of love and possession to distract.
She holds onto her precious item and squeezes,

On the day of her birth, she cried herself to an insomniac's sleep.}
